The white grape variety comes from Georgia, Synonyms are Chanti, Mamali Tsitska, Shanti, Tsistka, Tsitsiko and Zizka. The late ripening, high-yielding vine produces lively, acidic white wines with aromas of melons, apples and pears, which are excellent for sparkling wine production. It is also called table grape used. The variety is particularly common in the Imeretia region. It is often used with the variety Tsolikouri blended. The total area under cultivation in 2010 was 3,642 hectares with an increasing tendency (Kym Anderson ). In the worldwide varieties ranking it ranks 131st.
