The Austrian winegrowers association was founded in 20002, the idea came from the winemaker Bertold Salomon from the winery Salomon Undhof
in the winegrowing area Kremstal
(Lower Austria). The name means in German "you happy Austria" and is derived from the well-known saying "Bella gerant alii, tu felix Austria nube" (wars may lead others, you marry happy Austria). This was the marriage policy of the Habsburgs described that their power (allegedly) secured less by war, rather than by politically motivated marriages (in truth, but the Habsburgs led not less, but rather more wars than other mansions).
It is an export community together with Schlumberger Germany for the German market. The member companies come from different winegrowing regions and thus cover a good part of the Austrian wine landscape. These are Axle Paul
(Lake Neusiedl), Fidesser
(Weinviertel), Social man Albert
(Mittelburgenland) Big Alois
(Südsteiermark) Markovich Gerhard
(Carnuntum) Pichler Rudi
(Wachau) Salomon Undhof
(Spa region) and Wieninger
). This sales concept can be described as a very successful pioneer model, because in ten years the export share in Germany could be multiplied.
