Turks wine

Popular name for a wine from the 1529 vintage Wien (Austria). The name derives from the (unsuccessful) first major siege of the Habsburg Empire by the Turks that took place this year. The wines of the vintage were extreme angry and for this reason almost inedible and were called in a contemptible manner "Anabaptists" after the radical reformist-Christian movement.
