The estate is located in the municipality of Kaltern (Caldaro) in the Italian wine sector South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). In 2006, the process of processing the grapes themselves began, before they were delivered to a cooperative. The family has been involved in viticulture for several generations, today the business is run by Thomas Unterhofer. According to the company philosophy, each bottle should reflect tradition, nature, passion and quality. The vineyards cover four hectares of vineyards in the communities of Kampenn and Kaltern on mostly very steep slopes, which are cultivated by hand according to environmentally friendly guidelines. They are made with the white varieties Pinot Blanc ( Pinot Blanc ) Chardonnay. Sauvignon Blanc. Kerner and Bronner, such as Merlot and several varieties of the red wine variety Vernatsch ( schiava ) planted. The premium wines include the DOC South Tyrol Sauvignon Blanc and Kerner white wines (reduced yield 50 dz / ha) and the red wine DOC St. Magdalener (20% of the grapes dried on the vine). Around 22,000 bottles of wine are produced annually, 15% go to Germany. The winery is a member of Free wine growers in South Tyrol, Wein.Kaltern, consortium of South Tyrolean wine and FIVI (Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti).
