The estate is located in the municipality of Feuersbrunn in the Lower Austrian wine region Wagram
, A wine bar is connected. The family business is managed by Andreas Polsterer. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyards in the Hengstberg vineyards, Rosenberg
and Stiegl. Two thirds of them are planted with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner (50%), Chardonnay, Riesling, Welschriesling, Roter Veltliner and Rivaner, and one third with the red varieties Zweigelt, Blauburger, Blauburgunder and Cabernet Sauvignon. It becomes natural viticulture with, for example, integrated crop protection, greening
and waiving herbicides
practiced. One takes place twice a year thin out
(green harvest). The grapes are generally subjected to whole grape pressing. The white wines are aged in steel tanks, the red wines in large wooden barrels and partly in barriques. The premium wines include “Grüner Veltliner Upupa” (Upupa is the Latin name for the bird species hoopoe here) and “Roter Veltliner Roter Graben”. Fine brandies are also produced.
