The red grape variety (also Pianoro 350) comes from Italy, The name was given to Luigi Fantini, who is around 100 years old Rebstock in 1961 at the municipality of Pianoro (Bologna) in the region Emilia-Romagna discovered. It was forgotten again before it was rediscovered in 2000 by the ampelograph Stefano Galli. The parentage is unknown.
