Valdichiana Toscana

DOC area for red wines, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region of . The zone includes the municipalities of Arezzo, Castiglion Fiorentino, Civitella in Val di Chiana, Cortona, Foiano della Chiana, Lucignano, Marciano della Chiana and Monte San Savino in the province of Arezzo, and the municipalities of Chiusi, Montepulciano, Sinalunga and Torrita di Siena in the province of Siena.

The Bianco or Bianco Vergine (also known as and ) are blended from the varieties (zum. 20%), in any mixture of , Pinot Bianco = , Pinot Grigio = and Grechetto = (max. 80%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 15%). The Rosso and Rosato types of wine are made from (50%), in any blend of , , and (max. 50%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 15%).

The pure variety wines must contain at least 85% of the variety in question. These are the white wines Chardonnay and Grechetto, and the red wine Sangiovese. The white Vin Santo (also as ) is produced in any mixture of Trebbiano Toscano, , and Malvasia Istriana = (to the 50%).
