DOC area for red wines, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region Tuscany, The zone includes the municipalities of Arezzo, Castiglion Fiorentino, Civitella in Val di Chiana, Cortona, Foiano della Chiana, Lucignano, Marciano della Chiana and Monte San Savino in the province of Arezzo, as well as the municipalities of Chiusi, Montepulciano, Sinalunga and Torrita di Siena in the Province of Siena.

The Bianco or Bianco Vergine (also as Frizzante and Spumante ) are made from the varieties Trebbiano Toscano (for. 20%), in any mixture of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco = Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio = Pinot gris and Grechetto = Grechetto di Orvieto (max. 80%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 15%) blended. The Rosso and Rosato wine types are discontinued Sangiovese (for. 50%), in any mixture of Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc. Merlot and Syrah (max. 50%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 15%).

The varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the variety in question. These are the white wines Chardonnay and Grechetto, as well as the red wine Sangiovese. The White Vin Santo (also as Riserva ) is mixed in any mixture by Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia Bianca di Candia. Malvasia Bianca Lunga and Malvasia Istriana Malvazija Istarska (50%).
