The white grape is an interspecific new breed; the parenthood is unknown ( VIVC catalog ). Synonyms are Seyve-Villard 23-410 and Valerian. The crossing took place in France by the breeder Bertille Seyve (1864-1939). The variety is in the department of Vendée on the Loire estuary grown. In 2010 there were 24 hectares of vineyards. There is also a tiny stock in Romania (Kym Anderson ).
