The winery is located in the municipality of Avio south of Trento (Trento) in the Italian wine-growing area Trentino (Trentino Alto Adige). The name derives from an old place name. The company was acquired by Ezio Scienza in 1963, and has been run by his son Filippo and his wife Barbara Scienza since 1998.
