The "VAUX Sekt-Manufaktur" is located in Eltville in the German growing area Rheingau, The origin lies in the year 1868 with the foundation of the society in Berlin. In the 1880s, the company acquired the "Château de Vaux" and extensive vineyards not far from Metz on the Moselle in Lorraine, and thus created a German "champagne house". As a result of the First World War Lorraine French territory, which is why the production site was relocated to Eltville. After a few changes of ownership, a small group of wine lovers took over in 1982, initiated by the Wiesbaden bank director Gustav Adolf Schaeling, the sparkling wine factory of a subsidiary of Dresdner Bank. All sects are produced according to the method of classic bottle fermentation. They are made from base wines especially the varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir. The basic cuvée of the house is the "Cuvée Vaux" from the varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Riesling. The basic wines of this sparkling wine come from several German growing areas. Furthermore, there are the brands Rosé Brut, Sauvignon Brut, Pinot Blanc de Noirs breed and a Pinot Blanc champagne from grapes Ecological viticulture, The basic wines of the Rheingauer Lagen sect are bought from renowned Rheingau growers and are vintage sekt in rather small editions. The gastronomic engagement of the sparkling wine factory can be experienced in the "Castle Crass" in Eltville.
