The Green Veltliner the most common of these is only remotely related to all other Veltliner varieties, if at all. All but one variety come from Red Veltliner from; an important Austrian leading variety, With one exception (new breed), the varieties are presumably without human influence from natural ones intersections or mutations just like many other European cultivars emerged:
