The winery "Azienda Agricola Vercesi del Castellazzo" is located in the municipality of Montù Beccaria (province of Pavia) in the Italian region of Lombardy in the area of Oltrepò Pavese. The family estate was built on the remains of a castle owned by the Beccaria family. It was acquired by the Vercesi family in 1808 after Napoleon's first Italian campaign. The first grape harvest took place in 1961 and the newly built cellar at the foot of the vineyard was opened in 2005. The estate is now owned by Gian Maria and Marco Vercese, and the oenologist Aldo Venco is responsible for the estate. The vineyards cover 17 hectares; no grapes are purchased.

They are planted with specially selected clones of the red wine varieties Barbera, Croatina, Vespolina and Pinot Nero(Pinot Noir). They are cultivated according to certified rules of organic viticulture. The product range includes various DOC/DOC Oltrepò Pavese and Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico, as well as IGT wines. Among the premium wines are the three 100% varietal red wines Fatila (Croatina), Luogo dei Monti (Pinot Nero) and Cla' (Barbera), each matured for 12 months in barriques. 60,000 bottles are produced annually, of which over a third is exported to Poland, England, Australia, Japan, China and the USA. The winery is a member of the Vinnatur association.
