Verdello di Bracciano

The white grape variety originates from Italy. It should not be confused with the genetically different variety Verdello due to the similarity of the name. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2010, it is a presumably natural cross between Nocchianello Peloso a Spiga di Granturco (Nocchianello Bianco) x Verdicchio Bianco (34 DNA markers; see under molecular genetics). No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
