DOC area for red wine in the Italian region Piedmont
, It covers only 11 hectares of vineyards and is therefore one of the smallest wine-growing areas
in Europe. The zone includes the municipality of Verduno, as well as parts of La Morra and Roddi d'Alba in the province of Cuneo. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, smaller yields can be defined Vigna
followed by the location name. The wine is made from at least 85% Pelaverga Piccolo
(not to be confused with Pelaverga
), and a maximum of 15% other approved varieties.
