The winery "Bodegas y Viñedos Veredes by Fercyser" is located in the municipality of Peñafiel (province of Valladolid) in the northern Spanish region of Castilla y León. It has been owned by the De la Fuente family for three generations. In 2012 they decided to produce their own wines. The vineyards cover 30 hectares of vines in different plots with different soil types in the municipal area of Peñafiel and Pesquera de Duero. They are mainly planted with the Tinta del País(Tempranillo) red variety and the Verdejo white variety. The yields are reduced to an average of 4,500 to 4,800 kg/ha. Through selective manual harvesting, only fully ripe and healthy grapes are processed. The wines are produced under the DO Ribera del Duero. The red wine "Veredes" (according to an ancient Castilian denomination) is made from 100% pure Tempranillo grapes from our own vineyards and matured in new barriques of French and American oak. It is produced in the two varieties "Roble" (5 to 6 months) and the long-lasting "Crianza" (12 months). The white wine "Bohème Rueda" is produced varietally pure from Verdejo. Over 50,000 bottles are produced annually. The most important export markets are Germany and Denmark.
