The winery is located in the municipality of Mariano del Friuli (province of Gorizia) in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. It has been managed since 1978 by Gianfranco Gallo, who began bottling the wine. The vineyards cover almost nine hectares of land under vines, exclusively planted with the white varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Malvasia Istriana, Friulano and Riesling Renano. The planting is relatively dense, with 6,000 vines per hectare, in order to keep the grape hangings per vine low. The yield is limited to just under one kilogram per vine, which is very low for white wines. After fermentation in steel tanks, the wines are aged in steel tanks with long storage on the fine yeast or in French barriques, depending on the type of wine. The product range includes various white wines DOC Friuli Isonzo and IGT Venezia Giulia.
