International Wine Festival for producers, wine trade houses, journalists and consumers in Wien (Austria) in the historic congress centre of the Hofburg (pictured below), the former imperial residence in the city centre. It has been organised every two years since 1998 at the end of May/beginning of June in Wien (Austria) by M.A.C. Hoffmann & Partner, with ÖWM (Österreich Wein Marketing GmbH) as cooperation partner. The objective of VieVinum is to provide an industry meeting place for the most influential wine players with the aim of establishing new trade contacts and cultivating existing partnerships. The event extends over three days and offers an attractive supporting programme with, among other things, commented tastings by internationally renowned wine experts, specialist lectures, as well as numerous side events by various winegrowers' organisations and regions. VieVinum 2018, with 15,000 visitors from almost 50 nations and 550 exhibitors from Austria and around the world, was the last before the Corona pandemic; the 2020 date was therefore cancelled. Regarding VieVinum 2022, see under Calendar of Events. On the subject, see also under awards and wine events.
