DOC area (also Serenissima) for after the Metodo tradizionale ( bottle fermentation ) sparkling wines produced in the Italian region Veneto, It was classified in 2011. Serenissima (lat. "The illustrious") was the epithet of the former republic Venice, The zone includes hilly areas in the provinces of Belluno, Padua, Treviso, Verona and Vicenza. The wines are used in any way Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco ( Pinot Blanc ) and Pinot Nero ( Pinot Noir ) generated. There are the wine types Serenissima (12 months on the yeast), Serenissima Rosé (12 months), Serenissima Millesimato (24 months) and Serenissima Riserva (36 months).
