Leading Austrian magazine for wine culture, published six times a year. The chief editor is Mag. Peter Schleimer, for the final editing is the wine journalist Dr. Michael Prónay responsible. Published by the same publisher once a year wine guide "Vinaria - the wine guide". There are over 200 wineries or winegrowers with more than a thousand wines as well as the Austrian growing areas and grape varieties. The most important entry criterion for the wineries is a three-year ranking, which should guarantee high quality over a longer period. A Vintage table from 1985, a glossary and an introduction to the subject wine review rounds off the work. Around 1,500 wines were tasted professionally and rated in a 20-point system. Only 70 of them were selected as three-star candidates, of which 27 wines were selected as the absolute top of the domestic scene in a second tasting. The international wine award event AWC (International Austrian Wine Challenge - Vienna) 2005 was supported by Vinaria.
