Leading Austrian magazine for wine culture, which appears six times a year. Chief Editor is Mag. Peter Schleimer, for the final editorial is the wine journalist dr. Michael Prónay responsible. The same publisher publishes once a year wine guide "Vinaria - the wine guide". More than 200 wineries or winegrowers with more than a thousand wines as well as the Austrian growing areas and grape varieties are described. The most important inclusion criterion for the wineries is a three-year ranking, which should guarantee a high quality over a longer period. A Vintage table from the year 1985, a glossary and an introduction to the subject wine review completes the work. Around 1,500 wines were professionally tasted and rated in a 20-point system. Only 70 of them were selected as three-star candidates, of which in a second tasting 27 wines were selected as the absolute top of the domestic scene. The international wine award event AWC (International Austrian Wine Challenge - Vienna) 2005 was supported by Vinaria journalistic.
