Vino viejo

Spanish term for a wine that has undergone at least 36 months of oxidative ageing (thermal exposure, light and oxygen). This classification is independent of the regulations for Crianza and Reserva (Gran Reserva). See also under Vino añejo and Vino noble as well as Spain.
