Vinum Tokajense Passum

Latin name for "Tokaj wine from dried grapes", which can be found on the label of five-butted Tokaj aszú wines. These are traditionally bottled in square "apothecary bottles" with glass stoppers. Towards the end of the 19th century, such wines were actually sold in pharmacies as medicine. See also under Passum.
