The white grape variety (also Violenti) comes from Greece, It was earlier than clone of the variety Roditis considered what happened in 2000 DNA analysis was refuted. The medium-ripening vine with reddish berries is particularly susceptible to the wrong mildew but resistant to drought, It produces white wines that are rich in alcohol but low in acid and used as a blend. The variety is found in small quantities on the Ionian island Zakynthos grown. In 2010, however, no stock was shown (Kym Anderson ).
