Name or abbreviation for "quality wine of certain regions (growing areas)". It is the EU-compliant designation for origin-controlled persons quality wine respectively. PDO, but rarely in this form labels appearing. The abbreviation is identical in three languages, only "C" instead of "Q" applies in Spain:

  • Germany : Quality wines produced in specified regions; see below QbA
  • France : Vin de Qualité Produit dans une Région Déterminée (VQPRD)
  • Italy : Vino di Qualità Prodotto in a Regione Delimitata (VQPRD)
  • Portugal : Vinho de Qualidade Produzido em Região Determinada (VQPRD)
  • Spain : Vino de Calidad Producido en una Región Determinada (VCPRD)
