Vradiano

The red grape variety comes from Greece, Synonyms are Bordiano, Bradyano, Vordiano, Vradinia, Vradyano and Vrathiano. The parentage is unknown. The vine produces red wines rich in body and tannins with aromas of cherries, plums, violets, cinnamon and pepper, These are mainly blended with, for example Syrah used. The extremely rare variety is in Central Greece including the island of Evia grown in small quantities. In 2010, however, no stock was shown (Kym Anderson ).
