Wachtenburg winemaker

The "Wachtenburg Winzer eG" based in the municipality Wachenheim (area Mittelhaardt-German Wine Route) in the German wine-growing region palatinate was founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winemakers wine cooperative founded. The eponymous castle as a landmark of the community emblazoned on the bottle label. The first chairman is Walter Reichardt, as winemaker Werner Reichert is responsible. Today, 58 winegrower families manage a total of 335 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Altenburg, Bischofsgarten, Böhlig, fox coat. junk. Königswingert, Luginsland, Almond Garden, Pechstein and Schlossberg, as well as Enormous (Forst). They are the white varieties Riesling (main variety), Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc Grauburgunder, Gewürztraminer, Kerner, Morio-Muscat, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Huxelrebe and Silvaner, and the red varieties Pinot Noir, Frühburgunder, Dornfelder, Acolon, Regent, St. Laurent, Blaufränkisch , Portugieser, Schwarzriesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot planted.
