Waldschütz Anton

The estate is located in the commune of Sachsendorf in the Wagram wine-growing region in Lower Austria. It has been managed in its current form since 1992 by Anton and Elfriede Waldschütz. There is one four times a year wine tavern in the municipality of Obernholz. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vines in two different wine-growing areas. That is in the municipality of Straß in the Straßertal in the wine-growing region Kamptal, as well as in the municipality of Fels am Wagram in the wine-growing region Wagram in the vineyards of Diebstein, Schafberg and Scheibe. They are planted 60% with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, White Burgundy and Frühroter Veltliner , and 40% with the red varieties Zweigelt, Blauer Portugieser, Blauburger, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Environmentally friendly viticulture is practiced in the vineyard, yield-reducing quality criteria are appropriate foliage work, thinning and selective hand picking. The top products come with the designation or quality class reserve marketed. Count among the premium wines Kamptal DAC Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, Weißburgunder Reserve Wagramer selection, as well as the red wine cuvées Exquisite (Blauer Portugieser, Blauburger) and W1 Reserve (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot).
