The winery is located in the municipality of Poysdorf in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Weinviertel. The traditional family has been growing grapes here since 1870. Today, the winery is run by Gerhard and Helene Walek. A vine nursery founded in the 1980s is attached. More than 20 grape varieties are cultivated here, some with several clones each. A service for planting vines is offered. There is also a show vineyard. The production vineyards cover 16.5 hectares, 60% of which are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Welschriesling and Sauvignon Blanc, and 40% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blauer Portugieser and Roesler. Quality criteria are reduced yields and healthy, fully ripe grapes. Premium wines include, for example, Weinviertel DAC (Grüner Veltliner), Riesling Premium and Zweigelt Premium. Fine spirits (Trebern, Hefe, Wein, Pear) and grape juices from organic farming are also produced. The winery is a member of the winegrowers' association Weinmarkt Poysdorf.
