The estate is located in the municipality Saulheim (area Nierstein) in the German wine-growing region Rheinhessen
, It was founded in 1896 by Jakob Walldorf. Today it is managed by Hans-Jürgen Dexheimer and Kerstin Walldorf-Dexheimer in the fourth generation of the family. The vineyards cover 18 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Haubenberg, Hell and Probstey (Saulheim), Geiersberg and Goldstückchen (Armsheim), and Kachelberg (Ensheim). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Sylvaner, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Scheurebe, Huxelrebe, Morio-Muscat and Ortega, as well as with the red varieties Portugieser, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Schwarzriesling, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The management is carried out according to the philosophy of the house "by appreciating the natural conditions" with greening
the vine slopes and gentle vine care. The average yield in recent years was 65 to 80 hectoliters / hectare.
The wine cellar, built in 1897, is divided into the areas of bottle, barrel and tank cellars. It is also used as a venue for wine tasting, art exhibitions, buffets, receptions, etc. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are traditionally aged in large oak barrels Piece- and double piece format, in steel tank or barrique. Classic vinification is used to make fruity wines. Bottle-fermented sects, secco (sparkling wines), spirits (wine, fruit) and liqueurs are also produced. As an individual service handpainted wine and champagne bottles are offered. And as another special feature is the lease ( Rebstock sponsorship
) of two Pinot Gris with the annual yield of a total of four bottles of wine and one grapevine. In the in-house gift boutique a colorful product assortment is offered. The winery is a member of Generation Riesling.
