The winery is located in the municipality of Deutsch-Schützen in the Burgenland DAC area of Eisenberg (Austria). The traditional family has been growing grapes for four generations. A wine tavern is attached. The business is run by Gerhard Wallner, who is assisted in the vineyard by his parents Anna and Josef. The vineyards cover eight hectares, mainly in the Deutsch-Schützen sites of Bründlgfangen and Weinberg, as well as in the cadastral community of Eisenberg. They are 90% planted with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch (70%), Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the rest with the white wine varieties Welschriesling and Weißburgunder. The aim is for the red wines to reflect the typicality of the area. They are traditionally matured in large oak barrels, particularly ripe material partly also in barriques. The flagship is the long-lived red wine cuvée "Kentaur", which is blended from the varieties Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and sometimes a little Zweigelt and is aged in barriques. Other premium wines are various Blaufränkisch.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
