The estate is located in the municipality Niederhorbach (area Southern Wine Route) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, It was founded in 1832 and is now run by Eckhard and Christine Walter in the fifth generation of the family. The companies "WeinHotel" and "WeinRestaurant" as well as holiday apartments are connected. The vineyards cover 65 hectares of vineyards in the single layer Silberberg (Niederhorbach). The white varieties Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Blanc and Muscat, as well as the red varieties Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc are cultivated. The vines are raised for quality reasons in the flat bow system. All vineyards are managed according to current, environmentally friendly methods. It is intensively involved in summer and winter greening worked.

Depending on the type of wine, the fermentation or aging takes place in stainless steel tanks, tonneaux (White wine fermentation, red wine removal) and barriques (red wine removal). The premium wines include the white wines Gelber Muskateller and Sauvignon Blanc 500, as well as the red wine cuvée "CMC". As a tribute to the "Pälzer Sprooch" (dialect) there is a cuvée with Doppelää each year. Currently, these are "bed-covers" (dandelions) and in the markets the "Cuvée fer Dehäämrum" (cuvée for home). In weather-appropriate years will also Eiswein vinified. The extensive offer includes also bottle fermented sparkling wines.
