The theologian and poet Wandalbert von Prüm (813-870) became a monk in 839 in the Benedictine Abbey Prüm in the West Eifel(Rhineland-Palatinate). He wrote a kind of liturgical calendar of saints for the church year. In it he also wrote about viticulture during the year. Wandalbert mentioned May wine for the first time.
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
