Warwick Estate

The winery is located in the Muldersvlei zone ten kilometers outside the city Stellenbosch in the eponymous South African wine-growing district. It was founded in 1984 by the Canadian-born Ratcliffe family. Today it is headed by Norma Ratcliffe together with her son Michael. The vineyards cover 55 hectares of vineyards. They are with the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinotage and Sauvignon Blanc planted. Among the premium wines are the cuvée in Bordeaux style "Trilogy" (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc), the blend "Three Cape Ladies" (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinotage), a Pinotage and as the youngest creation varietal Cabernet Franc, with the support of the famous Château Cheval Blanc is expanded. From the best Trilogy grapes, the special cuvée "Femme Blue" is bottled in small quantities during the best years Auctions on sale is. Every year around 80,000 bottles of wine are produced.
