Weber Rudolf

The "Weingut Familie Weber" is located in the municipality of Lutzmannsburg in the DAC area Mittelburgenland (Austria). The high quality standard was set by the senior Rudolf Weber, one of the red wine pioneers of central Burgenland. His initials "RW" still adorn the labels today. The operation is led by Helmut Weber, for the Vinifikation son Günther is responsible. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Altsatz, Auleitner and Kirchner. They are exclusively planted with red wines. The main variety is Blaufränkisch , the other Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. The care of the vineyard is given special attention, whereas in the cellar as little as possible interferes with the development. The wines are fermented in steel tanks and expanded after malolactic fermentation depending on the quality in large oak barrels or in barriques for up to 30 months. The flagship of the house is named after the from 1156 documentary mentioned old place name red wine cuvée in Bordeaux style "Villa Nomine Lusman" (Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon). Other premium wines are for example Central Burgenland DAC ( Blaufränkisch ), Zweigelt Alter Weingarten and the cuvée "Composee" ( Blaufränkisch , Zweigelt, CS). The winery is a member of the association Blaufränkisch Mittelburgenland.
