Wedding wine

In Austria common name for the wine, with which the groom has to get rid of the fraternity of a place. Locally different this was paid either by the bride's father or by the groom. This event usually took place the evening before the wedding. Thus, the groom has to "apologize" to the boys, so to speak, that they had not come to the train with the bride. Enrichingly, this wine is also referred to as "Stichwein" or "Stupfwein" (name for the execution of marriage), as well as "fee wine". In some communities, this ancient custom has been preserved. In the past, there was also the so-called "Bahrrafa" (rafa = Raufen) - the fight for a pastry thrown out by the bride. See also below special wines,
