Wehlener Klosterberg

Along with Altenberg, Herrenberg, Kapellenberg, Kirchberg, Rosenberg and Sonnenberg, this is one of the most common single-vineyard designations in Germany. It occurs a total of 30 times. The name is derived from the fact that many vineyards were once owned and cultivated by various Roman Catholic monasteries or the church.
