The estate is located in the municipality Großkrut in the Lower Austrian wine region Weinviertel
, It is managed by Franz Weingartshofer, who converted the company in 2000 to the production of exclusively quality wines. In 2004 he completed the final exam for viticulture and winemaker; In the same year, the wine cellar on Großkruter Kellerberg was rebuilt. The vineyard area totals seven hectares, with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, as well as the red varieties Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Blauburger and Cabernet Sauvignon. The quality criteria are reduced yields through appropriate pruning and, thin out
of grapes, as well as hand picking at the optimal maturity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. For example, the premium wines include Weinviertel DAC (Grüner Veltliner), Grüner Veltliner altar wine
and the red wine cuvée "Mystique" (all four varieties). It also produces brandies (pomace, wine, fruit). In weather-appropriate years and ice wines are pressed.
