Small glass jars in the form of an elongated flask used as a container for wine tasting with a screw cap are closed. They are also referred to as "wine in tubes". The volume is usually 60 or 100 ml (one eighth wine = 125 ml). Such vials are used by various wineries for the presentation of the product range. They are ideal for glass-wise enjoyment or for professional tastings. So you can get to know the wines of a producer without having to open a whole bottle. In addition, they serve as an attractive eye-catcher an original contribution to marketing. For example, the German winery offers wines in such vials Ress Balthazar (Rheingau). The Australian winery Penfolds markets a red wine from Cabernet Sauvignon vines already planted in 1885, which is bottled in an exclusive glass vial. See also below wine vessels,
