Small glass vessels in the form of an elongated flask as a container for wine tasting with a screw cap are closed. They are also known as "Wine in Tubes". The volume is usually 60 or 100 ml (one eighth of wine = 125 ml). Such vials are used by various wineries for the presentation of the product range. They are excellently suited for glass-by-glass enjoyment or for professional tastings. This allows you to get to know a producer's wines without having to open an entire bottle. As an attractive eye-catcher, they also make an original contribution to marketing. The German winery, for example, offers wines in such vials Ress Balthazar (Rheingau). The Australian winery Penfolds markets a red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1885 and bottled in an exclusive glass vial. See also under wine vessels,
