The winery is located in the municipality Gols
in the Burgenland wine region Lake Neusiedl
(Austria). For reasons of differentiation, it is also called "Neuner-Wendelin" because the house used to be number 9 (today Hauptplatz 1). A guest house is connected. The business is run by Paul and Andrea Wendelin. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards in the Edelgrund vineyards, Gabarinza
, Haideboden and Langer Acker. Some of them are on the edge of the Neusiedlersee National Park. Two thirds of the red varieties Zweigelt (40% of the area), Blaufränkisch
, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and St. Laurent, and one third of the white varieties Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay are cultivated. Premium wines are the classically developed cuvée "Edelgrund" (Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch
), the cuvée "Novem" (Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch
, Cabernet Sauvignon), St. Laurent Heideboden, Zweigelt Goldberg and Zweigelt Classic. Sweet wines are also produced in weather-appropriate years. Fine brandies, frizzante and grape juice are also produced.
