The winery is located in the municipality Gols
in the Burgenland wine-growing region Lake Neusiedl
(Austria). For reasons of distinction, it is also called "Neuner-Wendelin", because the house was formerly number 9 (now Hauptplatz 1). A guest house is connected. The operation is led by Paul and Andrea Wendelin. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Edelgrund, Gabarinza
, Haideboden and Langer Acker. They are partly on the edge of the National Park Neusiedlersee. Two thirds of the red varieties Zweigelt (40% of the area), Blaufränkisch
, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and St. Laurent, and one third of the white varieties Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay cultivated. Premium wines are the classically developed cuvée "Edelgrund" (Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch
), the barrique-aged cuvée "Novem" (Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch
, Cabernet Sauvignon), St. Laurent heath land, Zweigelt Goldberg and Zweigelt Klassik. In weather-appropriate years and sweet wines are produced. There are also produced brandies, frizzante and grape juice.
