The estate is located in the commune of Flein (Württembergisch Unterland district) in the German wine-growing region Wuerttemberg, It was founded in 1990, but the ancestors of the owners had cultivated vineyards for several generations and delivered the grapes to the local cooperative. The original name is derived from the fact that a chicken farm was operated here in the 1950s. Connected are restaurant, inn, banquet and seminar rooms and 40 comfort rooms. The company is owned by Schick GmbH. Cellar master Martin Bauer has been responsible for the estate wines since the 2010 vintage. The vineyards cover 6.6 hectares, 75% of which are planted with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Lemberger, Trollinger, Schwarzriesling, Velvet Red, Acolon, Cabernet Cubin and Cabernet Dorsa, and 25% with the white varieties Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris , There is a ecological Soil and vine management. The grapes harvested in a selective hand harvest are traditionally carefully cultivated with the aim of wines typical of the varieties, vintage and terroir. The red wines mature according to the classic maceration in a large wooden barrel. Bottle-fermented wine sparkling wines, brandies (marc, wine, fruit), liqueurs and grape juices are also produced.
