Whistle

A term commonly used in Austria for a small glass of beer with a volume of between 0.1 and 0.2 litres, which is usually drunk in one sip (whistle). It is derived from the fact that this small quantity is like a short whistling sound (whistle) or can be enjoyed during its duration. In some cases, however, the term is also used for a larger glass of wine sprayed with a little mineral water. In Germany, this is analogously a whistle.
