Wild wine

Popular collective term for the vine genera that do not play a role in viticulture due to a lack of grape quality. However, this must not be confused with the wild vines (the archetypes of cultivated vines). One of these wild vine genera is Parthenocissus. Such are often used as ornamental v ines. See also under kangaroo vine (Cissus antarcticus) and vine systematics, and a list of relevant keywords under grapevine.
