Wine cradle

Basket or other device with which a wine bottle is transported and possibly also served at an angle with the neck of the bottle tilted upwards. It is mainly used to bring the wine from the cellar to the table as vibration-free as possible and without changing its position (with the label on top) and also serves a decorative purpose. A wine cradle is also good for decanting; see also under decanter.
