The estate is located in the Kolitzheim-Zeilitzheim municipality between Volkach an der Mainschleife and the Steigerwald, in the German wine-growing region Franconia
, It was founded in 2012 by Christian Werr (wine and enology studies Geisenheim
), Heiko Niedermeyer (wine business management, Heilbronn University), and Alexander von Halem (hotelier and owner of the baroque Zeilitzheim castle with headquarters of the winery).
The vineyards cover two hectares in the single vineyard Eselsberg (Stammheim), which are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner and Riesling and the red wine variety Domina. The management is carried out close to nature greening
with a large variety of plants to promote beneficials
and more natural fertilization
as well as waiving herbicides
The product range includes the single-variety wines Silvaner, Riesling and Domina; the cuvées named “Wolf jr.” (white wine) named after the builder of Schloss Zeilitzheim (Philipp Gaston Wolf von Wolfsthal) and the “Fuchs v. B. ”(red wine), the white wine“ Baron ”(Silvaner) matured in barriques, the Rotling
