Wine precursors

Before alcoholic fermentation is complete, the fermentation process is deliberately stopped for certain types of beverage, for example by cooling (see " Stopping"). These products are then marketed in this state, examples are Federweißer (Germany) or Sturm (Austria). See also Cider (beverage types) and Winemaking (wine types).
