With the aim of increasing knowledge, but of course also for commercial reasons, the instrument "quiz" is also used on the subject of wine. This is done in various forms and by means of different media such as TV programmes and trade magazines, as well as increasingly via websites and apps. Some of them:
The Californian, Hong Kong-based wine critic and multimedia wine journalist Debra Meiburg(Master of Wine) with the "Grape Cues" quiz with 2,000 questions
The Austrian wine author, wine academic and graduate sommelier Egon Mark with app "Das Weinquiz" with 1,350 multiple-choice questions and answers; www.diplomsommelier.at
The Austrian wine author Norbert Tischelmayer (responsible for the wine encyclopaedia of Wein-Plus). On the homepage, there are around 550 multiple-choice questions and answers in the block "The wine question of the day". Every glossary user is asked to give feedback or suggest questions (click on names).
See under wine education (seminars and institutions), literature (journalists and authors) and wine encyclopaedia (information about as well as handling of the work in question).

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
