Winery at the Salurner Klause

The winery is located in the municipality of Salurno / Salorno in the Italian wine-growing area South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). It was founded in 1948 by Alfred Ceolan. In 1982, Walter Ceolan took over his parents' business. For a while he was affiliated to a cellar cooperative, before he was fully re-acquired in 2004 and is now led by Dietrich Ceolan. In the wine tavern "Dürer Schänke" named after the painter Albrecht Dürer, all wines can be tasted and bought. The vineyards cover three hectares of vineyards. They are planted with the red varieties Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and with the white varieties Ruländer and Chardonnay. The product range includes various DOC wines South Tyrol and IGT wines. Premium wines are the red wine cuvée "Thor" (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon), the varietal "Merlot" and the white wine "Ruländer". Every year around 30,000 bottles of wine are produced. The winery is a member of the association Free winegrowers South Tyrol,
