The winery in the town of Stuttgart-Untertürkheim is located in the German wine-growing region Wuerttemberg, It is operated in already sixth family generation viticulture. The father of the current owner left the wine cooperative in 1960 and began bottling himself. Hans-Peter Wöhrwag took over the winery in 1990, having previously worked in Geisenheim studied and gained experience in Napa Valley, California. The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Altenberg, Herzogenberg (in sole ownership) and Mönchberg, They are planted with the white varieties Riesling (40%), Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat, and with the red varieties Trollinger, Lemberger, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Dornfelder. Among the premium wines of the house are mainly the Rieslings, the red wine Cuvées Philipp (80% Lemberger, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon) and Cuvée X (50% each Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon), as well as sweet delicacies. The winery is a member of VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).
