World Bulk Wine Exhibition

International wine trade fair for brokers, traders, commercial agents and buyers of open wines (bulk wines) or cask wines. The main purpose is primarily to open up new markets for producers and to establish contacts with buyers and traders. The fair is organised by the Spanish company Pomona Keepers and takes place annually in Amsterdam. There is also a supporting programme with conferences on various topics. At the sixth edition in November 2013, 176 producers from 16 nations exhibited their products worldwide. There were 5,800 trade visitors and buyers from 62 countries on all five continents. A total of 30 million hectolitres of wines were on offer. The International Bulk Wine Competition was held for the third time and 70 wines from nine countries took part. This is also intended to improve the image of bulk wines, which are often disqualified as inferior bulk wines. See also under Awards and Wine Events.
