World of Fine Wine

The British wine magazine "The World of Fine Wine" (WFW) was founded in 2004. The quarterly publication is regarded as an absolute top product, Hugh Johnson described it as "not a consumer magazine but the first cultural magazine in the world of wine". The extensive tastings and in-depth professional articles are worthy of special mention. The advertising is less extensive than in other magazines. Neil Beckett is the editor-in-chief, Hugh Johnson acts as editorial consultant. Regular contributions are made by such famous wine authors as Tim Atkin, Nicolas Belfrage, Michel Bettane, Michael Broadbent, Tom Cannavan, Oz Clarke, James Halliday, Hugh Johnson, Peter Liem, Jancis Robinson, David Schildknecht, Tom Stevenson, Serena Sutcliffe and Franco Ziliani. The magazine received the "Gourmand World Cookbook Award" for "Best Wine Magazine in the World" in 2009 and the "Louis Roederer Award" for "International Wine Publication of the Year" in 2010. Since Sept. 2010 there is a weekly online blog.
