The winery is located in the municipality Tadten, near the Hungarian border in the Burgenland wine-growing region Lake Neusiedl
(Austria). It has been managed since 1991 by Josef Wurzinger, who has converted the previously mixed farm to viticulture and fruit growing. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Kreuzjoch, Oberzick and Unterjoch. They are 60% with the red varieties Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Blaufränkisch
, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and 40% with the white varieties Welschriesling, Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc planted. It is practiced near-natural viticulture. Exclusively healthy and physiologically mature
Grapes are read by hand and subsequently checked again.
The white wines are always developed in a classic steel tank. The strong red wines (Kreuzjoch, St. Laurent) are after fermentation and malolactic fermentation in predominantly new oak barrels, the traditional red wines from Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch in used barriques and large wooden barrels depending on the type of wine and maturity at least 6 to 16 months. Only in weather-appropriate years and sweet wines are pressed. The premium wines include, for example, the red wine Cuvée Kreuzjoch (from all 5 red varieties), Blauer Zweigelt from the heathland and Blaufränkisch M. Every year, 55,000 bottles of wine are produced. It is also produced an apple brandy.
